My Holiday Gifts to YOU!!! Gift Card, books and swag!

I love Christmas. I really do. And when I'm asked about my favorite story, one in particular always comes to mind.
When my son was about five, we lived in Ohio in this beautiful multi-level cedar sided house. It had decks on both ends of the house. That year, we had our Christmas Tree in the sun-room on the south side of the house.
At five, our son was curious about Santa. He was worried that the reindeer wouldn't be able to land because our roof was shrouded in trees. We promised him that the reindeer would make it work. They'd get Santa here somehow.
Christmas morning we woke up and had our celebration. After a little while, my husband stepped out to the deck for firewood. Within a few seconds he called me out to look at what he'd found.
Reindeer prints in the snow! They were deer prints, of course, (I think) but it so totally backed up our street cred with our boy when he saw them. Santa and the reindeer had made it to our house!
The deck was 2 stories up! If you look in the background, that's my jeep down below.
Check out the pics! I do apologize for the quality- these are pictures of pictures, but I think you can get an idea.

The even crazier part is where these prints actually were. This side of the house was set into the hill, and the deck was L-shaped. The 'reindeer' walked UP four steps then turned the corner of the L. We couldn't believe them when we saw them.
So, that's my Christmas story. It added some unexpected magic to the day.

Real quick, I have to mention I have a new release! It would be a wonderful gift!
In the harrowing prequel to The Lost and Found series, three embattled Marines must deal with their devastating physical and emotional injuries in a world that seems to have turned against them.
When the rescue helicopter crashes into his convoy in Iraq, Marine First Sergeant Duncan Wilde struggles with the loss of men, his career and the use of his body. Things can't get much worse. Until his fiancée decides she has to move on with her life, and that of her unborn child by another man.
Sergeant Chad Lowell knew when he went to war that it would come with a price. And it did. A young Marine under his command is killed by a landmine. Chad's left with one less leg and a mountain of recriminations. That doesn't mean he wants to be a pitied by every female he comes in contact with.
Gunnery Sergeant John Palmer is furious at the hand he's been dealt. He's served his country faithfully, if not without antagonism, for many years. Now they're turning him out like a relative who has overstayed his welcome. And, since he's not even a real man anymore, maybe it is time to move on permanently.
Can these wounded warriors use a friendship borne out of adversity to form a partnership rescuing others? And can they find real love in spite of their challenges?

When my sone was 8 we got him a dirt bike for Christmas. I got a refridgerator moving box, which was about 5 feet tall, filled it wieht newspaper, wrapping paper, anything we could find, after taping the key to the bottom of the box. It took ten minutes to reach the bottom! It was a mess, but he loved it, and the pictures were priceless!

My favorite is when my son was old enough to understand Santa, his eyes just lit up at the presents and a huge smile on his face. Broke my heart when he told me he didn't believe anymore. I so wasn't ready for him to grow up.

I love your Christmas story. That is so awesome! My favorite Christmas story was when one of my sons woke up when I was being "Santa". He asked what I was doing and I told him I woke up and Santa had already come so I was sneaking a peek at what santa brought for me.

wwe11- I love that one too. Such a classic!
Dawna, my son just lloked at me one day and asked me to tell him the truth, so, though I hated to, I did. Luckily, my daughter is still a believer!
Shannon, my son almost caught me when he went to the bathroom one year. Made my heart pound!
Thank you all for stopping!!!

The magic of the season makes everything sparkle. One of my favorite stories is our family advent service and my brother read the bible quote so convincingly. He said, "Look! He is coming!" and everyone at the table looked up. It was a moment that replayed every year after that. We still laugh about it.

One of my favorite Christmas Romance Books is The Untamable Rogue by Annette Blair! The story is about Ashford Blackburne Fifth Earl and he has to get married and get his willing bride pregnant before Christmas or his grandfather won’t let him inherit his money. Ash truly needs to inherit the money because his late father squandered it all away and he is taking care of his mother. After getting stood up at the alter, again, Ash and his friends go to the local pub where the owner plays a drunken Ash in a card game…his consolation prize is the pubs daughter Larkin, who he wants to get ride of. Ash has to learn to forgive…Larkin has to learn how to trust…can two completely different people find love together. This is a cute, extremely funny, romantic story with a surprise Christmas ending!

I was about 8 and my sister was 5. We had talked our grandparents into letting us sleep Christmas Eve outside in their RV. We were busy chatting and giggling when we heard sleigh bells outside. Needless to say, living in Florida with no snow, that they MUST belong to Santa's reindeer. We both immediately pretended to be asleep. It was a completely magical Christmas.

Merry Christmas and thanks for the blog stop.

My favorite Christmas story is Twas The Night Before Christmas. When my daughter was younger and still lived at home, I remember reading that to her. It was a special bonding moment and put her to sleep so "santa" could go set the presents out.

Thanks for being a part of the hop and for the amazing giveaway.

Merry Christmas,

Tonda, you sound like me when I was a kid. If it couldn't go in the mud it was useless. Dresses? Well, ok, sure hope the mud comes out though...;-)
Mydurango- That sounds pretty good. Annette Blair rocks!
Eva, mine was powder blue, but that was THE BEST Christmas!
Steelerlady, you can visit us as many times as you want!
Mary, oh I know. Swore to stay away from my scales until february.
Judy, that's really cool! I was a kid in Florida, and I hated that there was no snow. Although I did see it flurry in Orlando one year.
Thank you all for stopping. You're all entered for my giveaway!

We're a military family, and our first year stationed in Alaska, we decided to chop down our own tree fresh from the forrest (not a farm). We hiked through snow so deep, our 4 year old sank in it up to his waist. We picked what we thought was the smallest tree, trimmed almost two feet off the bottom and the sides then we got it home and realized it was still 9 feet tall. That was a fun adventure.

My favorite Christmas Story is growing up. How me and my brothers always opened up our presents, chose certain gifts and walked down to our grandparents. Then we'd encourage them to open all the presents they got. I really miss those times. It doesn't seem to be christmas without either of them.

But I remember one year my grandma got me a lacy bra. My dad was video taping Christmas and I was so embarrassed but my brother was waving it around

I just love the prints, and what a great story for your son to pass on ...

My fav story is when I was an apt manager, I had gotten ahold of the doctors in our local hospital, and they "adopted" the families. We took trees, gifts, food etc to each apt. One family wasnt home, they had two adorable small boys, we set up a tree and even a train underneath. We left the train running..and I waited for the them to arrive home in the window of my office. Well, I could hear them yell "Santa has been here" The excitement of the year always brings a smile to face.

I am in the Us. Thanks for the fun blog hop !

Merry Christmas ~

When my daughter was 3, and we took her to see Santa, instead of telling him what she wanted for Christmas, she gave him a list for her baby sister, because she was worried that since the baby couldn't talk, she wouldn't get presents since she couldn't ask for herself. So precious

All these stories are great and cute:) One of the best christmas presents/ stories I have in Sept. 2009 my little boy was born, I had lots of complications...seizures, stroke, bleeding on the brain and on and on! Drs. didn't think I would recover if at all, and my little boy could have effects from it! In December we found out I was on my way to full recovery with minimal damage and my precious baby was completely healthy( still is:)) Merry Christmas
